After the chaos of my birthday settled, it did end up being an OK day overall since I was able to fit in two fun things.  A coffee date with a girlfriend around noon and Joe insisted we go buy my AWESOME birthday gift, even though we couldn’t go until 9:00 pm.  I’m glad he talked me into it.  I’ll tell you about it in a later post.

Yesterday another girlfriend invited me over to her house to celebrate my birthday.  I told her it had to be a celebration of both our birthdays since she too was having one next week!  She always puts out an elaborate spread of goodies with plenty of champagne flowing.  Being pregnant, I had to pass, but she had bought me a bottle of non-alcoholic champagne, which surprisingly tasted just like the real thing!  When it came time for tea (insert SIGH here) I had to pass on that too.  No caffeine or even most herbal teas for me while pregnant.  I’m being a good girl and following all the little pregnant instructions out there.  So my cute little tea cup had to sit empty.  But that’s OK because my cup is full right now in so many other ways.
