I introduced the game of ‘Simon Says’ to Max recently. He got a kick out of it. The next time I wanted to play again he said “No. I’ll do it.” So HE was telling ME what to do, “Simon says touch your nose!”
Of course I played along. I was thrilled he caught on so quickly and you know (gee, I may be biased here, *ahem*) showing leadership skills at the age of 2.
Then we switched it up and I got to be the leader again.
ME: “Simon says JUMP!”
Max jumps!
ME: “Simon says touch your head!”
Max touches his head
ME: “Simon says say cock-a-doodle-doo!”
Max: He shook his head and said, “No. I’m not chicken.”
