I came across this footage today and just had to post it. This is from about 6 weeks ago when Max first started eating solids. He’s much better at it now, but this is just too cute how he keeps putting up his hands to sort of guide the spoon into his mouth. You may think this video is long, but I could watch him for hours.
I love the sound of laughter. And I REALLY love the sound of Max’s laughter. The most random things will just crack him up. Like the morning when he was laughing and laughing and I had no idea why. Or when the orange fishy toy during a bath one day was the big hit.
Well on this day, Pixie was the subject matter of funny. And her smelling her own butt? REALLY funny. Boy humor of farts and butt jokes. It’s already started.
Hoping you all had a good Thanksgiving weekend! Mine was awesome mostly because I was able to both relax and be productive. I prefer it that way. It’s just the way I’m wired.
Thanksgiving itself though, is yet another holiday for me that has it’s issues. I’m not all that excited about celebrating the whole story of the Pilgrims coming to America, eating with the Native Americans… AND THEN CLAIMING EVERYTHING AND TAKING EVERYTHING FROM THEM.
I’m a load of fun aren’t I? The best way to explain how I feel about it, is through comedian Eddie Izzard. He’s genius in his American history story telling – love it! If you haven’t seen his full show, treat yourself.
But really, every holiday is what you make it. You sort of have to make each your own and celebrate in your own way. Thanksgiving is easy to just say it’s a holiday of giving thanks. Actually taking a moment to really savor all that is good in one’s life. I did that. And I hope you did too. If not, it’s never to late. You can start right now.
