Once I started SHOWING, but didn’t yet FEEL pregnant, every time I saw myself in the mirror I’d think “Ouch! Dude, that looks like it hurts!”
I’ve definitely slowed down now. I don’t have the can’t-sit-still-syndrome so much anymore – whew! I slept solid last night, no PB&J emergencies at 3:00am and didn’t even wake up ONCE to pee! But I think that was helped by a full day of stuff to do from 6:30a – 11:30pm. See Week 31
Fallon as Sheen. This is good.
For the last few years, the day of the Oscars meant drinks started flowing early, good friends, getting red-carpet-ready, yummy food, parties and did I mention drinking?
This year however, we didn’t do any of that. This year we had a fun baby shower on the day, where drinks still flowed early (for attendees) and my big cheat of the day was a whole cupcake!
Our friends Shelli and Courtney hosted with Oscar themed games and trinkets. What a couple of great girls for taking time to organize and open their home. And whew! we had great weather to boot! It was originally supposed to rain AND the day before we had hail and snow! Yes, SNOW in Los Angeles!
We are lucky to have such great friends who took the time to buy gifts and spend an afternoon with us to celebrate baby. That’s better than winning a stupid Oscar Award. Well, OK, maybe more like a close second?
