Day job

We knew for awhile Max was getting frustrated with laying in his little lamb chair or bunny swing. He liked it much better when he was sitting up in his Bumbo chair.  In on the action.  Able to see what was going on.

But he wasn’t quite strong enough to sit upright for long periods of time so what do you do?  We’d end up holding him and carrying him around in a sitting position so he could be involved and see everything that was going on.

One day Max started sitting himself up and pulling foward while laying in his little lamb chair trying to see what we were doing.  So we knew that was it.  It was time for one of those bouncy seats – you know – those stationary toys where the baby can sit upright, bounce until their hearts content and play with all the little attached toys.  Hopefully keeping baby occupied for long periods of time.

But for now, I’ve dug out the booster seat I bought for him.  That seems to be doing the trick of keeping him content.  It attaches to a dining room chair and I fill the tray with toys and then put it in whatever room I’m in.

Since he’s not using the booster to eat from yet, I call it his ‘desk’.  And he and I work side by side.  Me typing on the computer.  He tugging, pulling, crunching, sucking, gumming everything and then throwing it all to the floor.  Sounds pretty good for a desk job.  Max seems to enjoy it – he screams with laughter! When is the last time you did that at your job?
