Every day I’m out with Max and Sarah, I get asked the same question. Over and over again.
Everyone: “Are they twins?”
Me: “Yes, Irish twins, one year apart.”
Not only do they look alike, but Sarah is tall for her age and Max is average so they are pretty similar in size.
Now, to say they are Irish twins is slightly pushing it as official Irish twins should be less than one year apart — where as Max and Sarah are just over one year apart.
But I had enough people tell ME they were Irish twins when I’d explain their age difference, that I decided to just go with it.
I always thought having twins would be really fun. Plus the idea of having two kids for only one pregnancy (and one hospital bill) sounded great!
I guess this is my wish for twins, answered.
Since I was her double, I’ve decided I can support and promote her how ever I feel fit. =)
She is humble, grounded and actually doing good things with her power.
I love books. I suppose one day I’ll grow to love my ipad style book reading more for it’s convenience (and space saving) but for now I still love the old school-curl up with a book-ink on paper reading. I guess it ties in with my love of the old school hanging clothes out to dry!
And Max loves his books too. I know 2 year olds today are into their ipads or other tablet device. But, I think his love of books is great. Eventually he may love his ipad or other electronic thingy better – but I think books are a great foundation. Call me old. I don’t care.
This is a waaaaay boring video. If you are looking for something exciting, this is not it. But that’s what I love about it! My two in diapers are always so busy and usually both running full throttle in opposite directions or climbing something at the opposite ends of the house… So a little quiet book reading time is an exciting moment for me.
Learning colors is one of Max’s focuses lately. He likes to name off colors as he sees them during walks when we pause to look at flowers or other random things he sees during the day.
I love it. It’s fun when he notices a color that I had not.
This time of year, pumpkins are a common sight — and stereotypically orange. But not always. It was fun to show Max all the different colored pumpkins that are out there!
One of the pumpkins I bought this year was a classic. You know I love my odd, unique and fun pumpkins, but you just can’t go wrong with a classic.
No, it’s not Thanksgiving. It’s Veterans Day and I know that many people are confused about who exactly we are celebrating, so let me clarify:
Veterans Day is a day not only to remember those who died in service to our country, but also to recognize those who continue to serve today. Past, present, old, young – everyone who answered the call to defend our freedom.
Take a moment to think about (and thank) all those who have served and are serving right now – they deserve at least one minute of your busy day.
